September 18, 2008 What a great finish to an outstanding year!! Kudos to the folks at Southtowns BMX for putting on a great Championship race! The riders battled the weather and each other to see who the best of the best is, and the real winners were those of us there to watch it all unfold. The State Series Final Standings for 2008 can be found here. Check out pictures from the race here. A huge thank you to all of our volunteers across the State Circuit, for another amazing year of bmx!
August 24,2008 Once again, there was a great turnout for the State Qualifier Race at Charlie’s BMX. Everyone had a great time, and the weekend was full of exciting race action! The current points standings are now posted. Please look at your standings, and verify all the information. If there are any questions or concerns regarding the points, please contact Cindy.
August 21, 2008 We had some outstanding racing at Presque Isle BMX and look forward to more of the same at Charlie’s BMX this weekend! The season is quickly winding down, so make sure you are getting the races in to get qualified for the Championship! You can check the current points standings here. ALSO CAMPING IS AVAILABLE AT THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!! There have been rumors going around that no camping will be available, but that is not true. The camping area has already been designated and is all good to go.

July 14, 2008 Congratulations to all the folks at Westmoreland BMX for putting on a great race this past weekend. The racing was action packed and we even beat the rain! July 8, 2008 Another excellent weekend of State Qualifier racing is in the books! Last weekends qualifier at Johnstown BMX went on without a hitch. Big thanks to all of the excellent state volunteers and to Johnstown BMX for putting on such a great weekend! Pictures from the Johnstown BMX State Qualifier will be posted as soon as possible. Also, a copy of the State Series Schedule can be found here. Also, check back early next week, because the race finishes for the Drake Well and the Johnstown Qualifiers will be posted.
June, 2008 The pictures from the Drake Well BMX State Qualifier are now posted. We had an amazing weekend to start the season, so let’s keep the intensity going for the rest of the year! Special thanks to Audio Obsessions DJ and Karaoke Service for the good times we all had during the karaoke jam we had Saturday night. On another note, the new Keystone BMX registration trailer was a nice addition and the new sound system is something we have to look forward to all year long!
June 3, 2008 Drake Well BMX would like to announce a few of the extra things that are happening this weekend along with the State Qualifier race. Friday night, June 6, there will be a paid practice session from 6-8 pm. Saturday starts day one of the Qualifier, followed up by a bonfire and Karaoke from Audio Obsessions. If you missed last year’s karaoke performances by your fellow riders and friends of the sport, you definitely do not want to miss it this year. It should be a lot of fun. May 7, 2008 The pre-registration form has been posted. It is still in the test phase, and we are quickly working the bugs out. If you experience problems with the form, please let me know.
May 5, 2008 BIG BIG NEWS!! Starting tomorrow, you will be able to pre-register for State Qualifier races via the internet! For starters, you will be able to download the registration form, fill it out in Microsoft word, and email it into Cindy. You will still have to pay during the registration times of race day. Eventually, you will be able to pay online via our website, but that is still in the works. ALL PRE-REGISTRATION FORMS MUST BE EMAILED TO CINDY THE WEDNESDAY PRIOR TO EACH QUALIFIER. No “ghost riders” willl be tolerated, and if you pre-register and do not show up the race (without having called and cancelled your registration) you will still owe the fee for that race. Also, tomorrow there will be some new postings in the Keystone Mall, so be sure to check back.
May 5, 2008 Drake Well BMX would like to announce that they will be making some changes to their track in the coming weeks in preparation for their Qualifier which will be held on June 7-8. Come down often and get practiced up for the first qualifier of the season!
March 8, 2008 South Park BMX would like to invite all riders from all tracks to join them in riding in the St Patrick’s Day Parade through downtown Pittsburgh on Saturday March 15th. For more information see the Keystone Calendar.
Jan. 8, 2008 There will be a Track Officials Training Session on March 8th at the Meadville Days Inn from 1-5 pm. Computer training for those not going to Competition Congress will be from 1-3 and the Officials Training will be from 3-5. Please contact Cindy or Chuck if attending so they can put together an accurate headcount.

November 30,2007 A special congratulations goes out to our State Commissioner and our State Clerk, for being asked to step up in the NBL’s time of need and run the Thanksgiving Classic in Morristown, Tennessee. If anyone has any pictures of some Keystone riders representing at the Thanksgiving classic, please send them to webmaster@keystonebmx.org. And we are still looking for items to list in the Keystone Mall, so if you have any BMX related items you would like to sell, just shoot us an email and we will get it added to the website.

November 14, 2007 Our apologies to the new Assistant State Commissioner Pete Dawson. When the Board Members page was updated, he was mistakenly looked over. Once again, congratulations to all of the newly elected Board Members, and a big thank you to all our past volunteers. November 7, 2007 The Annual Fall Meeting went extremely well. A lot of issues were worked out, and a lot of new and exciting ideas were proposed. The 2008 Officers were elected. Congratulations to everyone who was elected, and we would like to welcome a few new faces. Be sure to check out the Board Members page. Many of the new ideas included some great ideas for the website. In the next few days, be looking for our new BMX classifieds page where you can buy and sell BMX related items, as well as a few more changes.

Attention Track Officials- The Keystone BMX Association Fall Meeting is set for November 2, 2008. The meeting will take place at 9 am at the Days Inn at Meadville, Pa. There will be a buffet-style lunch served at noon. Cost is only $10 per person. Come out and help us get ready for the 2009 season!! Please Contact Chuck if you will be attending. |
